Hotpot Panic (com.xtdev.hotpotpanic) is a single-player timing and arcade game for iOS, published by World Seed, LLC. It is free and supported by third-party advertising. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Hotpot Panic app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.
In short: World Seed, LLC itself collects no personal data and requires no account. The app shows ads via Google AdMob, which collects certain device data to serve and measure those ads. The rest of this policy explains that arrangement in detail.
Information Stored On Your Device
To save your progress and preferences, Hotpot Panic writes a small amount of data to local iOS storage (the system UserDefaults store, via Unity PlayerPrefs). This includes your high scores, your difficulty selection, and your sound and haptics settings. This is declared under Apple's required-reason API code CA92.1 (accessing information from the app itself). This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to World Seed, LLC, and is removed when you delete the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Hotpot Panic uses the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK, provided by Google LLC, to display advertising. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process device and usage information, which may include:
- a device advertising identifier(Apple's IDFA) — only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt;
- a non-resettable or limited device identifier;
- coarse or approximate location inferred from your IP address;
- your interactions with ads (such as views, taps, and completions); and
- general device and technical data (such as device model, operating-system version, and settings).
This data is processed by Google as an independent controller under Google's own policies, not under World Seed, LLC's control. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Ads may be personalized (selected using data about you and your interests) or non-personalized(selected using only coarse, contextual signals such as approximate location and the content of the app). On iOS, if you do not allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, ads are served in a non-personalized or limited way and the IDFA is not used to identify you across apps and websites.
App Tracking Transparency
The app may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, which asks for your permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining means ads are less personalized, but Hotpot Panic remains fully playable.
What We Collect Directly
World Seed, LLCoperates no servers for this game and receives no personal data from you directly — no name, email address, Apple ID, contacts, or photos. All personal-data processing tied to advertising is performed by Google AdMob, as described above.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above is used only to:
- run the game and save your progress and settings on your device; and
- by Google, to serve, cap, and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud, in accordance with Google's own policies.
How Information Is Shared
World Seed, LLC does not sell or rent your information. The only third party involved with Hotpot Panic is Google (AdMob), which processes advertising-related data as an independent controller under its own policies as described above.
We may also disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of our service and users.
Your Choices & Rights
- Manage the advertising identifier and tracking. Control the IDFA and App Tracking Transparency in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and manage Apple's own advertising options in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.
- Reset local data. Deleting the app removes your high scores and settings from your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA — for example, rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it. Because World Seed, LLCholds no personal data about you itself, these choices for advertising data are exercised through Google and Apple's own controls (linked above). If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may also see a Google-provided consent message (via Google's User Messaging Platform, or UMP) governing how ads are personalized.
Children's Privacy
Hotpot Panic is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. AdMob is configured for a general (non-child-directed) audience. World Seed, LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
International Users
World Seed, LLC is based in the United States, and Google operates globally. Advertising data handled by Google AdMob may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries. By using Hotpot Panic, you understand that your information may be processed in a country whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your own.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the limited data we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date shown at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will note them here. Your continued use of Hotpot Panic after an update means you accept the revised policy.
